Some of Sutherland’s more notable movie roles included offbeat warriors in such war movies as The Dirty Dozen, in 1967, and MASH and Kelly’s Heroes in 1970, as well as in such popular films as Klute, Invasion of the Body Snatchers and Ordinary People. He recently starred in the American television series Dirty Sexy Money. Sutherland was born in Saint John, New Brunswick, the son of Dorothy Isobel (née McNichol) and Frederick McLea Sutherland, who worked in sales and ran the local gas, electricity, and bus company. He got his first part time job at age 14 as a news correspondent for local radio station CKBW in Bridgewater, Nova Scotia. He then studied at Victoria College, University of Toronto, where he met his first wife Lois Hardwick (not the child star of the same name), and graduated with a double major in engineering and drama. He had at one point been a member of the “UC Follies” comedy troupe in Toronto. He changed his mind about becoming an engineer, and subsequently left Canada for England to study at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. Excerpt: Virginia Elizabeth “Geena” Davis (born January 21, 1956) is an American actress, Academy Award winner, film producer, writer, former fashion model, and a women’s Olympics archery team semi-finalist. Davis was born in Wareham, Massachusetts, USA, the daughter of Lucille, a teacher’s assistant, and William Davis, a civil engineer; she has a brother named Dan. At an early age, she became interested in music. She learned piano and flute and played organ well enough as a teenager to serve as an organist at her church in Wareham. Davis attended Wareham High School and while an exchange student in Sandviken, Sweden, she became fluent in Swedish. Enrolling at New England College, Davis eventually graduated with a bachelor’s degree in drama from Boston University in 1979. While at Boston University, Davis worked part time for the Media Group. Warner played the roles of various foreigners in their films. While in Japan he met and trained with Gudo Wafu Nishijima, who ordained him as a priest. He agreed to write articles for SuicideGirls, the online soft porn site. In 2007 he directed the documentary film Clevelands Screaming, which depicts the punk rock scene in Akron and Cleveland in the 1980s. Also in 2007, Gudo Wafu Nishijima named Warner the leader of Dogen Sangha International. In 2008 Warner lost his job with the Japanese company he had been working for in the States.
